1 person dead after a traffic collision on Interstate 5 (Santa Ana, CA)

One person was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident Friday morning in Santa Ana.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash was reported before 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 5. The early reports showed that a silver Toyota Corolla hit the left shoulder wall for reasons that are yet to be known. The Toyota’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials.

Authorities are looking for another vehicle that might have been involved in the collision but did not found it. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
