One person was killed after a traffic collision Sunday in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash took place on the 5 Freeway North at Glenoaks exit. The preliminary reports showed that the victim was thrown from the pickup truck after it crashed on the freeway. When responders arrived at the scene, they found one person on the freeway, beyond medical help.
Debris from the crash was strewn across all lanes on the freeway. All lanes of the Northbound 5 Freeway were shut down while crews worked at the scene. The traffic was diverted at Glenoaks. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
