1 person dead after a three-vehicle accident in Long Beach (Long Beach, CA)

On Thursday, at least one person died following a fiery crash in Long Beach.

As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle accident was reported at about 3:02 a.m. on the North Long Beach Boulevard off ramp and the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway. On arrival, responding officers found three vehicles in the middle lanes of the freeway, including a white Toyota Tundra and a white Sedan.

Reports revealed that one of the vehicles caught fire after apparently crashing into the big rig. One person was probably pinned inside one of the vehicles. The victim suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. All lanes of the freeway were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
