On Tuesday, a man lost his life following a rollover crash in Valley Center.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at about 10:40 a.m. on southbound Valley Center Road, approximately a mile south of Ridge Ranch Road. The early reports revealed that a GMC Yukon rolled and slid off the right side of the road. After that, the SUV hit a fence, went into a culvert and overturned. The impact ejected the driver from the vehicle and he was found underneath the vehicle.
The man succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital. The authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. Around 1 p.m., one lane of Valley Center Road remained closed. Roads were slippery due to the rain at the time of the accident that might have played a part. No other details were provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
