1 person dead after a motorcycle struck the back of a minivan in the Atascocita area (Atascocita, TX)

One person was killed after a motorcycle crashed into the back of a minivan Saturday night in the Atascocita area.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place at about 10 p.m. on Will Clayton Parkway and June Forest. The early reports showed that a motorcycle rider was heading westbound on Will Clayton. At that point of time, the minivan was turning onto the intersection on June Forest when the incident happened.

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist might have run a red light. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the minivan was hurt. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
