One person was killed following a head-on collision near Vail.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place on State Route 83 at milepost 45, which is 13 miles south of Vail near Tucson. The early reports showed that the motorcycle rider was attempting to pass in a blind curve when it crashed head-on into a car.
Both directions of the road were shut down as crews worked at the scene. Officers urged drivers to expect delays and take an alternate route. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of the kin is notified. No additional information has been released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
