On Monday afternoon, one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Monterey County.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place near Bixby Bridge at about 3:17 p.m. The early reports showed that a motorcycle and an automobile were involved in the accident. Officials confirmed that the motorcycle rider died of their injuries as a result of the collision.
As of 5 p.m. one-way traffic control was in place just north of the bridge. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
