1 person dead after a motorcycle crash in Tempe (Tempe, AZ)

On early Sunday morning, one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Tempe.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 6 a.m. on the intersection of Kyrene and Elliot Road. The early reports showed that a FedEx truck was traveling east and was turning to go north when it crashed into a motorcycle heading west.

According to the reports, the motorcycle rolled over in the middle of the intersection below the truck. The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Authorities believe that impairment was not involved in the accident.

Traffic in the area was impacted throughout much of the morning to give way to the investigation. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under review.
