1 person dead after a motorcycle crash in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

On Wednesday morning, one person died following a two-vehicle collision in Tacoma.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place before 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of South 19th Street and Sprague. The early reports showed that a motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, ignored a red light and crashed into a pickup truck.

On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the motorcycle rider to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to the hospital to be evaluated for their injuries. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
