1 person dead after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 2 (Newport, WA)

On Monday, one person was killed following a traffic accident on Highway 2.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. in Pend Oreille County. The early reports indicated that an unknown vehicle struck a person for reasons that are yet to be known.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene after the collision. At this time, officials have not provided any details about the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other information is available.
