On Sunday, one person was killed following a traffic collision in Vallejo.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 12:33 a.m. on Interstate 80 south of the Magazine Street on-ramp. According to the officials, one person died as a result of the collision. Reports further showed that a white pickup truck left its license plate at the crash scene.
Officers searched for the pickup truck and located it in Vacaville. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. The westbound lanes of the highway were shut down for two hours as crews worked at the scene. No further details were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
