1 person dead after a hit-and-run crash in Santa Ana (Santa Ana, CA)

On Saturday morning, one person was killed following a traffic collision in Santa Ana.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 2 a.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and Main Street. The early reports showed that a northbound 2021 Dodge Charger crashed into a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. On arrival, officers found an overturned Chevrolet.

The driver of the Chevrolet was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The witnesses informed the responders that the Dodge driver entered a red SUV-type vehicle and left with a passenger. Authorities describe the suspect as a 30 to 35 years old male and approximately 200 pounds. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
