On early Saturday, a man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in San Jose.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at approximately 1:53 a.m. on Lucretia Avenue and Taji Drive. The preliminary investigation indicated that a gray 2017 Honda Sedan was traveling north on Lucretia Avenue in the far left lane when it slammed into a motorized scooter going in the same direction in the same lane. The driver of the car left the scene after the collision.
After the initial crash, a mid-size white sports utility vehicle hit the scooter rider and also drove away from the scene. Emergency responders rushed the rider to the hospital and pronounced him dead upon arrival. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
