1 person dead after a hit-and-run collision in Bellingham (Bellingham, WA)

One person was killed after a crash Friday in Bellingham.

As per the initial information, the officers actively responded to the area at Midway Lane and Hammer Drive at around 8:45 a.m. in response to a hit-and-run collision. On arrival, responders found the victim dead at the scene.

According to the eyewitnesses, two people got into an argument nearby just before the incident happened. They believe that one of them was the victim while the other was the driver. Authorities have sought the public’s help in locating the dark Ford SUV which left the crash scene. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
