1 person dead after a fiery, single-vehicle accident in Kinder (Kinder, LA)

On Wednesday, one person was killed following a single-vehicle accident in Kinder.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the intersection of Sherman Houston Road and Kinder Cemetery Road in Allen Parish after getting reports of a car crash at about 8:15 p.m. The early reports revealed that the driver of a Hyundai Genesis was heading west on Sherman Houston Road when the driver ran a stop sign, traveled through the intersection, and hit a tree.

Due to the impact, the driver was ejected from the car and the vehicle got engulfed in flames. The driver died of their injuries in the accident. The authorities will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. Officials stated that speed have contributed to the collision. The victim was not buckled up at the time of the crash. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
