1 Person Dead 3 Others Injured In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Saturday. 

The officials stated that four teenagers were involved in the crash. 

The preliminary investigation stated that the accident occurred on a dirt field north of East Panama Road and Mod Way at around 10:30 p.m. 

The officials reported that the driver of the off-roading vehicle was a 17-year-old boy. He was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed into a concrete culvert- an underground tunnel used for drainage or carrying a stream. 

The medical personnel reported that two female passengers 17 and 14 were transported to the hospital with major injuries. 

A 13-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries from the crash. 

The driver of the vehicle was declared dead by the officials. 

The officials suspect that alcohol was the factor involved in the crash. 

The CHP is investigating the fatal crash at the moment.
