On Monday night, one person was killed while three people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Eureka.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck took place at about 9:00 p.m. on R Street and Samoa Bridge. On arrival, firefighters freed one person from the wreckage. Three people suffered moderate injuries while one person died of their injuries after the accident.
At least one of the vehicles had a juvenile occupant. Officials released a statement that one car got engulfed in flames and there were babies in that vehicle. Northbound traffic from R Street in Eureka across the Samoa Bridge remained blocked as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
