One person died while two others received injuries after a high-speed crash Monday afternoon in North Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at about 2:46 p.m. on Deer Springs Way and Gliding Eagle Street. The preliminary reports showed that the driver of one sedan was going westbound at a high rate of speed. This sedan then slammed into another sedan heading northbound through the intersection.
The driver and passenger of the northbound vehicle were rushed to UMC. The passenger of the northbound sedan was later declared dead at UMC. According to the authorities, the northbound sedan had two females in their twenties. The westbound driver was a male in his teens and is currently at UMC. It is unknown if DUI played a part in the collision. At about 7 p.m., North Las Vegas police booked 18-year-old Kyle Iglesias for reckless driving for this crash. No further details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
