According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Monday morning in Los Angeles. Officials confirmed that one pedestrian died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the 405 Freeway, near Sunset Boulevard. A pedestrian was walking in the lane when they were struck by multiple vehicles.
Four to five cars were involved in the wreck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. Car parts and debris were scattered across the freeway.
Other insights into the collision remain unknown. The reason for the presence of the pedestrian in the lane is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
