According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday night in Stanton. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian collision occurred at Cerritos and Dale Avenue. A pedestrian suddenly started running across the crosswalk. A car struck the pedestrian, which resulted in her being thrown next to the curb.
The car fled from the scene of the wreck. The pedestrian woman was pronounced dead at the spot of the collision. Other insights including the identity of the pedestrian remain unknown.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
