The police reported a motorcycle crash on the 15 Freeway in Escondido that caused one fatality. The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site at 10:26 p.m. on the Northbound 15 Freeway near Valley Parkway.
The motorcyclist driving in the middle lane rear-ended a white van and other vehicles travelling in the same lane as him. The injured motorcyclist was transported to Palomar Medical Centre.
The lanes were shut down by the CHP while clearing the scene. No additional information regarding the crash. The motorcyclist is yet to be identified by the Authorities.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
