On Wednesday morning, a report was lodged to Santa Barbara City Fire Battalion Chief, Jim McCoy after a semi-truck driver was injured in a fatal crash.
The driver crashed into the northbound wall on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara. The collision tore off the front axle following an intrusion with on of the signs into the driver space. This incident led to huge damages.
Huge debris was found on the intersection causing further difficulty for other drivers.
The driver was severely injured and transported to the hospital according to the officials.
The driver’s identity is yet to be determined.
The cause of the incident is unknown.
The incident is under investigation.
