1 Man Killed In A Hit-And-Run In Newport Beach (Newport Beach, CA)

According to the Newport Beach Police, a hit-and-run accident was reported on Sunday. 

The officials stated that a man was found dead in the 3000 block of Jamboree Road south of Fletcher Jones Motorcars. 

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect was travelling southbound on Jamboree when he struck the pedestrian. 

Lt. Michael Schaivi stated that a man had been detained for questioning to clarify whether he is connected to a collision that left a white sedan with a cracked windshield.

The identity of the deceased victim was not released by the officials. 

No additional information regarding the fatal crash is available at the moment.
