1 Killed and 1 Seriously Injured In A Hit And Run Crash In Jefferson Parish (Jefferson Parish, LA)

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, a hit and run crash was reported in Jefferson Parish on Sunday night.

The officials reported that 1 man died and 1 woman was injured due to the accident.

Authorities confirmed that the collision occurred in Southbound lanes near Apache Drive and Manhattan Boulevard.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and the woman was transported to the hospital.

While investigating this crash, the deputies were called to the 1100 block of Manhattan Boulevard for another crash. 

There they found a white Chevrolet Silverado with a damaged front.

46-Year-Old Travis Barnes, driver of the Chevrolet, had hit the victims who were injured.

He was arrested on vehicular homicide among other charges.

The identity of the victims are currently unavailable.

The crash is put under investigation.
