1 Firefighter Died 3 Others Injured In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Memphis (Memphis, TN)

The Memphis Police reported a motor vehicle accident in South Memphis Wednesday night. 

The collision happened on Cambridge Avenue near E.H. Crump and Danny Thomas Boulevard at around 8 p.m. 

The incident occurred when a pickup truck ran a red light. The pickup collided with a fire engine. The fire engine flipped to its side after the collision. 

The Memphis Fire Department transported four of its employees to Regional One Health Trauma Center. They were reported with critical injuries. 

The pickup driver was rushed to Regional One in critical condition, stated the officials. 

According to the social media accounts of MFD, one of the firefighters died in the crash. 

Identities of the victims are awaited by the officials. 

The incident is being inspected by the Memphis Police Department.
