Georgia State Patrol responded to a motor vehicle crash that claimed a life and led to the hospitalization of others in Laurens County.
According to the patrol, a Ford F-150 traveling east on Minter Tweed road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the passenger side of a Ford F450 approaching the intersection. The F150 struck several trees before stopping, and the F450 rolled over to its driver’s side.
The victim who died in the crash was identified as 17-year-old Carlos Estuardo Lara Cepea Grayes. Grayes was a passenger in the F150. He was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Two others were airlifted to the hospital. Four others were transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
The crash is being investigated.
