On Wednesday afternoon, one person died following a motorcycle accident on Beach Boulevard near Adams Avenue.
Officials received the reports of a crash at about 4:22 p.m. in which an SUV and a motorcycle were involved. According to the preliminary investigation, the bike rider was going north on Beach Boulevard, north of Adams Avenue when the southbound SUV on Beach Boulevard attempted to turn left into the Newland Shopping Center.
Just then, the motorcyclist reportedly crashed into the car. The force of the collision caused the SUV to overturn. On arrival, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene whereas paramedics transported the driver of the car to a hospital for treatment. The identities of the victims remain unknown at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
