1 dead, 2 injured after a two-vehicle crash in Kent County (Kent County, MI)

On Sunday afternoon, a two-vehicle collision took the life of one person and injured two others in Kent County.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at about 1 p.m. on 14 Mile Road at Wabasis Avenue in Oakfield Township. The preliminary investigation showed that a westbound Jeep Liberty went across the centerline into the path of a Nissan Altima. Just then, the vehicles crashed head-on into each other.

The female passenger in the Nissan died of her injuries after the accident. On arrival, medics rushed the driver to the hospital by Aero Med with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to the hospital with major injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
