Official reports from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Clarksville state that the eastbound lanes at mile marker 14.4 had been closed off owing to a major injury collision between a semi and a four-door sedan. The motor vehicle accident took place at around 4.40 PM on Wednesday.
Reports add that a medical evacuation helicopter took at least one victim from the site of the wreckage. No further information about the present condition of the victim has been released yet, nor has any information about their identity. The cause of the accident also remains under investigation.
It is unclear at this stage how many people were involved in the collision.
